The Artist’s Magazine’s Annual Art Competition, which is calling for entries, is a chance for regional, emerging and young artists to compete at an international level.
Maureen Bloomfield, the magazine’s Editor in Chief, said it was that is was difficult for artists to have opportunities to have their work seen.
“After more than twenty years of writing about art and editing art magazines, I know that good art isn’t confined to big cities on either coast; in fact, there are great artists, some working in obscurity or near obscurity, all around the world,” said Ms Bloomfield.
“That’s the reason I can say unequivocally that entering The Artist’s Magazine’s Annual Art Competition is worth the effort, expense and time.”
The competition is offering more than $25,000 in cash and prizes. In addition, winners’ names and work will be featured and finalists’ names published in the December issue of The Artist’s Magazine. The magazine’s Competition Spotlight will showcase nine finalised and 12 will be featured as Artist of the Month on the website.
