This course involves us looking at the major art movements and associated artists that have occurred in Australia. We will combine a little art history with practical projects based on the styles that we focus on:
- Traditional Aboriginal Art
- Colonial Art and the early art schools – narrative paintings
- The Australian Impressionists
- The Women of the Australian Impressionist era
When: Wednesday evenings, 6.00 – 8.30 pm
Starts: Feb 10th – March 31st; April 28th – June 16th, 2021
Duration: 16 weeks
Costs: $190 (members) $200 (non-members)
What to bring: Sketch book, drawing and designing materials, miscellaneous materials as required throughout course.
