The Festiv Arty opened on Friday, 14 September, attended by a large group of locals who came to see a diverse range of entries. The annual festival is a good opportunity for the local art community where works of both the emerging talents and established artists are on display. It brings people from all walks of life together and there is a spirit of togetherness in the air. It was a good end-of-the-week celebration for people who marvelled at some awe-inspiring works, while enjoying nice food, drink and live music. Representatives of the Griffin Coal and Bendigo Bank as well as the local Member of the Parliament were among the attendees.
The Gallery is host to paintings and photographs this year. The paintings will be on display until 28 October but photographs will be on view only for two weeks.
