Perth-based artist, Di Taylor, will be holding a workshop a day after the exhibition, Big Sky Country, opens at the Collie Art Gallery.
This one-day workshop will encompass basic level instruction in composition, perspective, colour mixing, paint use and application, drawing in charcoal, motivation and contemporary construction.
The work can be done in oils or acrylics, however, Di only works in acrylics.
Participants should come with an idea of an image, be it photograph or drawing, of a location you wish to paint.
Costs: $35 (members) $40 (non-members)
Please contact the gallery on 9734 2921 for more information.
Please note: Students must give permission for photographs to be taken during the workshop and used by Di Taylor for promotional purposes.

Hello Di
I will join the workshop on eighteenth. I am not a member and will ring and pay.
I believe this is a watercolour work shop

We are afraid Deepani, but the workshop was on 18 November. It was an acrylics workshop.

Thank you Di and The Collie Art Gallery and it’s gracious staff for an excellent workshop. I came away with many new techniques and perspectives. Di was an unusual fasciilitator in that she has a generosity of spirit that is rare. She happily shared her knowledge and skills to us all. The workshop had a welcoming atmosphere and it was a great space to work in. I cannot recommend it more! Thank you all I had a splendid time.
