You are invited to take advantage of a Condition Reporting Workshop that will be held Monday, 18 April, at 10am-12pm.
When art works enter and leave the gallery, they must be reported on in terms of all aspects of their condition so that the artist and the gallery are in agreement as to their contractual obligations. In learning how to do this correctly professional development needs to be accessed and we are very fortunate to have Julian Bowron from the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries along with his staff offering to provide the training for us. Apart from working as the Director of Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, Julian is also on the board of Art on the Move, an important Touring Exhibition organisation which we access.
We welcome any members of the public who would like to come along for this training so that when new exhibitions arrive and depart in the future we have a range of people that may be called upon to complete the Condition Reporting for us. At present we have a small number of people on our register who are correctly trained and we need more so that we may be able to share the load.
