The Collie Art Gallery has successfully applied for a Lotterywest grant of $30,788.00 that will serve two purposes. It will go towards the acquisition of software for the Gallery’s database so that they will be able to keep reliable and accurate records for the arts community; also, it will fund the partial restoration of the Claude Hotchin Art Collection which was bequeathed to the Collie Shire some 50 years ago. The restoration will be carried out by Guest Fine Art.
Lotterywest’s generous support will be a positive step toward preserving this prestigious collection which has been entrusted to the Gallery. The organisation has already assisted the Gallery when it was first inaugurated in 2015, supplying funding to purchase essential hardware and furniture.
