Neil Elliott was in Collie to give Artist Talks to a few groups of people on Friday, 22 June. Two groups of students from the Collie Senior High School and a group of Gallery Volunteers attended the Artist Talk which was given with great enthusiasm. A very good speaker, Neil talked about his background as a painter and graphic designer and answered questions about his wonderful works. The exhibition includes an education component with activities suitable for school students.
Neil also talked to the group of people who attended the opening event on Friday evening. Also attending the opening was the Executive Director of Art on the Move, Mrs. Kim Jameson, who made very encouraging remarks about the direction the Gallery was moving toward. Kim went on to say how the Gallery has been able to bring the community members together and what an important role it plays in boosting tourism in the region.
The exhibition will be open Thursdays through Mondays, 10am-4pm until 22 July.
