Forms of Landscape
My art attempts to convey my personal and deep emotional attachment and relationship to the Australian landscape, particularly the outback.
The apparent continuity of the horizon line and the subtle palette reflecting the colours of the dry Australian landscape, are a feature of my work. Abstract marks, patterns and fragments of nature refer to personal memories, however, each viewer has the possibility to interpret them individually.
Experimentation and serendipity are a part of my working process in printmaking especially and particularly in these eco-prints. – Charlie Wells
