Painter and sculptor Neil Elliott, currently exhibiting at the Gallery, will be running a two-day workshop at the Collie Men’s Shed.
The objective of this workshop is to work collectively and individually to produce fun pieces of sculpture using repurposed materials and found objects. You will be taught basic woodworking and metalworking techniques applied to sculpture. Participants are asked to source materials prior to the commencement of the course.
You are required to bring along a collection for your own use. The more you have the better your piece will be! Materials can be sourced from your own property. Timber and light-weight metals are preferred. You will also be required to bring some basic tools if possible: Cordless drill, hammer, screwdrivers, saw etc.
