The opening of the ‘Forms of Landscape’ exhibition by Charlie Wells was held on July 14th and was attended by people who braved the cold and joined us for a memorable evening. The exhibition includes 24 framed textile works that represent the Australian landscape. Charlie, a graduate of the University of Western Sydney, has used eco-printing in creating this collection. She has widely exhibited her works in solo and group exhibitions mostly in Australia. Charlie has won numerous awards and has created public art. Her works can be found in private collections in Finland and Australia. Trudi Curran, the Chairperson of the Collie Gallery Group, made the opening speech in which she commended the artist for her fine works. The exhibits will be on display until 3 September.
