South West artist Elisha McGuckin returns with her latest collection “Be Treatwise. Enjoy A Balanced Diet”. Well known for her signature style where pop art collides with still life painting her most recent body of work is inspired by the discrete dietary advice on your favourite “junk food” packaging.

Having spent several years studying food packaging Elisha has zoomed in on and scaled up some iconic packets of lollies. She was initially drawn to painting packaging through her fascination of the way that light dances across the glossy surfaces. It was here that she began noticing, for the first time, the dietary labels hidden on the packaging. Before now, this is something she ignored with great intent.
