FESTIV ARTY
What was once ‘the Griffin Fesitval’ is now FESTIV ARTY – a fun, quirky and unique new name and branding, while paying homage to the festival’s 27-year history of celebrating arts, culture and community in Collie.
FESTIV ARTY will run from Saturday, 9, to Sunday, 17 September, featuring Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Street Art, a Writers’ Festival and workshops.
More than 300 entries into the annual art competition will be on display at the Collie Art Gallery and the Collie PCYC, with a range of works from paintings and drawings, photography, woodwork, textiles and much more, with special categories for youth arts and crafts, emerging artists and ‘out of town’ artists.
The Collie Art Gallery is a major venue for the festival as it was last year. Even though the Gallery is normally closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, it will be open on 12 and 13 September, over the first week of FESTIV ARTY. Works will be on display at the Gallery until 1 October 2017.
